Chris comes from a high performance athletic background – competing as a junior BMW racing driver and also completing marathons, half marathons and endurance adventure races. He is used to training hard and reaching his goals with consistency, hard work and dedication to the sport. Chris has 8 years experience as a personal trainer to both people in Australia and internationally, he provides a high level of coaching that will develop your skills and enable you to become the best you can at your chosen sport.
With a depth of knowledge and experience behind him, Chris trains hard and “walks the walk” you will always see him training hard in the gym….If your looking to improve your strength and get focused Chris is the man to talk to! He has a great understanding & knowledge of a variety of strength training principles, programs and cycles; he will push you to the limit to make sure you reach your full potential.
With a history of sporting endeavours behind her, from athletics to rowing and now CrossFit Sonja has a great passion for all things active! With over over 8 years experience in the fitness and health industry – 3 years spent doing CrossFit you can be confident with the advice and coaching she will provide. She has a Exercise Physiology degree and a Masters in Physiotherapy and as such is well qualified to help you through any aspect of your training program. Sonja is a passionate cross fitter and enjoys blending the benefits of physiotherapy with the functional movement training CrossFit employs to get the most out of every member in the box – athlete to recreational cross fitter!
I have always been a fitness/gym junkie, and more than willing to give any sport a go. I found my greatest success in soccer reaching state level, and athletics where I competed at a National level twice. My love of fitness and sport led me to complete a certificate lll and lV in fitness to become a personal trainer while still studying year 11 and 12. I then moved to Brisbane where I am currently studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University.
I have always been an active and adventurous person. I traveled the world , lived in 3 different countries and constantly sought out challenges or experiences to satisfy my hunger for all things new and different. Since finding CrossFit, I have found something that definitely satisfies this adventurous spirit! I started with Desire as a member and immediately fell completely in love with the varied, intense challenges and have been crossfitting now for almost 5 years. Previously trained in group fitness, becoming a Level 1 CrossFit coach seemed like the next natural progression for me. Being a part of the Desire coaching team is extremely fulfilling and I feel just as passionate about the sport and the community as I did 5 years ago when I first walked through the Desire doors. I’ve had many years involved in surf club , dance and boxing, but found my true passion in CrossFit and hope to to continue for many more years to come.
